Stardust Aerial Fitness was created by Johanna Eckardt. Her practice is a hybrid of several fitness modalities learned throughout her journey, including Suspension Training, Barre, Functional Range Conditioning, Mobility, Yoga to name a few and incorporated them on to the silk.

The program starts with Aerial Fundamentals where you will safely learn all the ins and outs of the Hammock, become familiar with the aerial silk and the new sensations associated with inversions and flying as well as build knowledge of the foundational movements essential to the progression of the practice. The program also includes more advance classes like Stardust Aerial CORE a unique HIIT workout, targeting the CORE, upper body, arms. A form of suspension training using the aerial silk as we build strength, flexibility and mobility through reverse traction, resistance training and isometric movements where we turn up the volume and turn up the fun.

We welcome everyone with an open mind and an open heart as we also move through the benefits of spine decompression, realignment, hip openers and hammock assisted inversions while improving joint mobility, increasing flexibility and muscle toning. We always finish with and amazing cocooning and restorative session to bring us back to our hearts, so If you are looking for a dose of fitness outside of the box in an accepting upbeat environment our program is guaranteed to help you discover movements and exercises geared to make you feel comfortable flying in the air by strengthening your mind body and soul.

During Stardust Aerial Fundamentals, we start with a zero-compression inversion, followed by a light warm up to get the body ready. The movements are broken down incrementally, through a step-by-step technique and we end with a gentle, meditative, and slow deep stretching session.

You will safely learn all the ins and outs of the Hammock, become familiar with the aerial silk and the new sensations associated with inversions and flying as well as build knowledge of the foundational movements essential to the progression of the practice. This is the introductory class to the Stardust Aerial Fitness Program and is recommended to take before any other class.
