Iyengar Yoga is named after its founder, B.K.S. Iyengar. It is commonly known for its use of props, anatomically sound alignment, and progressive sequencing. There have been many medical studies noting its therapeutic benefits, especially in alleviating chronic pain. For long time practitioners, the profound effects on the body and mind become apparent.
