TEACHERS
Mano (Mariano) Ardissone, E.R.Y.T., M.M.Q., is Founder (2003) and Co-Director of Ayama Yoga Center. He is originally from Argentina, where his spiritual studies began with Iluminada Ferreira in 1993. There he came across his first Yoga book, "Yoga for All" by Indra Devi, whom he holds in very high esteem. Since then, Mano's years of learning and teaching have been both playfully eclectic and experiential.

Mano's formal studies of the many different Hatha Yoga traditions began with a teacher training course at Synergy Yoga Center in Miami Beach. Mano was Co-Founder and Co-Director of Synergy as a Non-For-Profit (501(c3)) organization for five years (1999-2003). Eventually, Mano’s practice grew towards Ashtanga Vinyasa style of Yoga that he started learning from Wayne Krassner. "Ashtanga gave me a formal, structural and systematic framework to develop with. Main principles of Iyengar, Ida Rolf, Anusara Yoga and Ayurveda have also influenced my unfolding."

Mano also studied with the following yogis: Tias Little (Yoga Source), Andrey Lappa (Universal Yoga), Rod Stryker (Pure Yoga), Manorama (Sanskrit Studies), Dr. Mohan Sarasvati (Sanskrit Studies), Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Richard Freeman, and David Swenson (Ashtanga Yoga),
Dharma Mittra (Classical Hatha Yoga), and others. In addition, Mano completed four years of education in the S.R.F., Kriya Yoga tradition of Paramahansa Yogananda.

A perpetual student, Mano teaches from deeply inspired heart and mind, thereby making his practice and teaching style graceful and unique. Mano's classes are geared towards the expansion and balancing of all layers of our being, using scientific and intuitive elements of Yoga consciously and creatively. He believes there is only ONE Yoga, different ways to go about it and different elements that support, shape, and enhance its teaching and practice. “Technique is only but an infinitesimal part of the actual teaching… true teaching is the inevitable reflection of the state of consciousness of the teacher.”

Mano’s energy healing work is just as eclectic as his background in Yoga. Mano is a traditional Reiki Master in the Usui lineage, a Transformational Breath Work facilitator, and he currently pursues a Doctoral degree in Chinese Medical Qigong from the International Institute of Medical Qigong and the Henan University of TCM (CHINA).

During his treatments, he also utilizes Ayurvedic Marma Therapy, Thai Massage, Acupressure, Polarity therapy, gems and crystals, Transformational Breathing techniques and sound, as well as a purely impersonal healing intention. Mano is also deeply interested in human evolution, the esoteric world, extra and intra-terrestrial life.

Mano is loving, compassionate and giving. He cares for each patient and student individually while understanding that everyone’s constitution, needs and possibilities are different and unique.
